The Participants
On August 12, 2008, 75 proponents registered 168 projects representing between 50,000 to 60,000 GWh per year of electricity.
On November 25, 2008, 43 of those proponents submitted proposals for 68 projects representing over 17,000 GWh per year of electricity.
From March 11 to August 3, 2010, BC Hydro selected 27 projects from 18 proponents for the award of 25 Electricity Purchase Agreements ("EPA") (for one proponent, three proposals were combined into a single EPA). The projects represent approximately 3,266 GWh per year of contractually firm electricity.
