Helping Indigenous Peoples develop skills, get work
We support the recruitment and development of Indigenous employees in a variety of ways, from employment skills upgrading programs, to apprenticeship and work opportunities.
These programs are designed to help Indigenous people learn about our work environment and gain first-hand experience to get started on a path towards a career they're interested in.
Professionals in development
Our Professionals in Development program offers Indigenous professionals paid work and professional development placements at BC Hydro.
Indigenous scholarships
Scholarships are available to Indigenous students who are looking to pursue post-secondary education opportunities.
Try-A-Trade
Try up to two different BC Hydro trades careers through a short-term, paid work experience program.
Try-A-Technical
Try an office-based technical position through a short-term, paid work experience program.
