1. Get up to $3,000 in enhanced rebates for energy-efficient home upgrades
Looking to make your home more energy efficient? Upgrading your home's electric space and water heating systems can provide big savings on your energy bills.
As a Hope resident, you can get a up to $3,000 in top-up rebates for completing these upgrades.

Heat pump water heaters can help you save on water heating costs. This is because they're 50% more efficient than standard electric water heaters.

Heat pumps help you save on heating costs – they're up to three times more efficient than electric baseboards. Plus, they come with the added benefit of home cooling.

- Make sure your home is eligible.
- Work with a licensed contractor. If you're getting a heat pump installed, you'll need to choose a Home Performance Contractor Network member to be eligible for rebates.
- Complete your upgrade, ensuring your selected product and the installation meet the rebate eligibility criteria:
- Once your upgrade is complete, submit your rebate application online.
The top-up amount will be automatically included in your rebate payment based on the postal code of the installation address provided in your application.
Enrolling your devices in Peak Saver allows us to periodically make slight adjustments to your home's temperature or the timing of your EV charging. You always maintain full override control of your devices.
The program helps you save energy and helps us manage demand our electrical system. Plus, we'll give you $50 for each type of device you enroll.
3. Earn rewards with our Peak Saver challenges
Opt in to Peak Saver challenges and you could earn financial rewards toward your electricity bill. When you reduce your home's electricity use during peak events – periods of up to three hours – you’ll earn a reward. For example, reduce your usage by 20% to earn a $3 reward
- Alert: You'll receive an email alert notifying you of an upcoming peak event at least 24 hours in advance, including the challenge reduction target and potential reward. For example, reduce by 20% to earn $3.
- Shift or reduce: Shift energy-heavy activities such as doing laundry or using the oven to before or after the event.
- Reward: Earn a reward if you meet the challenge target. At the end of the program season, we’ll add up your rewards and they’ll appear on your bill.
4. Free products for lower-income households
We offer free programs for our lower-income customers to help save energy and money. If you meet the income qualification, you can get free products and advice that will help you save energy, lower your energy bills, and make your home more comfortable year-round.
