EV electrician referral request form
Complete the form below if you’re looking for an electrician who can install an EV (electric vehicle) charger at your residence or workplace. We’ll match you with qualified electricians in your area. They’ll receive your contact information and follow up with you within five business days.
Please note electricians may charge a fee to provide an estimate for your project. When you speak with the electrician, they'll be able to tell you their policy for providing installation estimates.
The Alliance of Energy Professionals is a network of energy efficiency trade professionals registered with BC Hydro. Alliance members help customers identify opportunities to save energy, install energy-efficient products or EV chargers. They can also help look for incentive opportunities through BC Hydro.
We've formed the Alliance to ensure you, as a customer, are getting expert, dependable advice. Alliance members can advise on projects like energy efficiency upgrades or EV charger installations. But the decisions on products and upgrades, and adherence to all codes and permits, are your responsibility. Please also ensure that installations meet your requirements, manufacturer's instructions and all standards and regulations.
BC Hydro doesn't endorse or recommend specific contractors, consultants or products. By working with an Alliance member, you're assured they've met a list of qualifications, including:
- A registered business in British Columbia
- A minimum five years' experience selling, installing energy-efficient equipment
- A B.C. business license and GST number
- A WorkSafeBC registration number and in good standing
- Proof of a general liability insurance policy of not less than $2 million, with BC Hydro named as an additional insured
- Five customer references (three for energy efficiency projects)
