BC Hydro has a number of resources to help you during this challenging time, including resources and incentives to help reduce your electricity use and costs.

Resources, advice and incentives to help

Nobody knows quite how long the pandemic will last, but experts seem to agree that it looks more like years than months. And while many of us have adjusted to a new normal in one way or another, the future is still largely uncertain.

However, there's one thing that is certain: we're here to help.

Whether you're looking to talk to us about your bill, reducing your costs, finding resources to lower your energy usage, your eligibility for our programs and incentives, or developing an extensive energy management strategy, we're right here for you and we'd love to talk.

Here are three simple ways you can get in touch:

1. Talk to your Key Account Manager or Regional Energy Manager

A conversation with your Key Account Manager – or a Regional Energy Manager if you use between 0.5 and four gigawatt-hours of electricity per year – should answer many of your questions and direct you to specific resources, programs or incentives.

Find out if you have a Key Account Manager, or if you're eligible for a Regional Energy Manager, with our Business Program Eligibility Tool.

You can also learn more about our Regional Energy Managers in this recent article.

2. Talk to members of the BC Hydro Alliance of Energy Professionals

The BC Hydro Alliance of Energy Professionals is a network of over 700 energy professionals, including consulting engineers, installation contractors, suppliers and vendors who can help you identify areas of opportunity for energy efficiency, help you navigate claiming any available incentives, and implement the upgrades.

Every one of them is approved by BC Hydro and has access to the latest information about all of our programs.

Find out more about the Alliance in this recent article or head straight over to the Alliance referral page to make a request.

3. Contact the Power Smart Business Helpdesk

For more general inquiries on energy management offers and eligibility, reach out to the Power Smart Business Helpdesk. We're open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
