We’re here to help – with new study and incentive promotions
Take advantage of enhanced offers while they're available
With COVID-19 restrictions expected to continue for many more months, you're probably more eager than ever for your business to achieve maximum efficiency when things finally do return to normal.
So we're here to help with a series of great promotions on some of our studies and incentive funding. Let's take a look:
Studies promotion
Promotional offer | 1. 100% fully funded industrial studies |
Deadline | 1. Study agreement must be fully executed by November 1, 2020 to qualify 2. Studies must complete by March 15, 2021 |
Eligibility | 1. All customers are eligible, regardless of SEM participation |
Our Energy Efficiency Feasibility Studies provide you with an in-depth analysis of energy solutions and the cost/benefit analysis you need to make strategic decisions for increasing energy efficiency at your facility. They're aimed at systems using more than one gigawatt-hour of electricity per year. For a 200 horsepower system, that's about 6,000 hours of operation. You might also use one if you're designing a new industrial facility or planning a major expansion.
Normally, we'd fund 100% of the study, but then recover 25% if a customer doesn't implement enough of the study's recommendations. But for a limited time, we've waived this, so your study would be fully funded – regardless of how many recommended updates you make.
Custom Incentives promotion
Promotional offer | 1. Up to 100% project funding |
Deadlines | 1. Distribution Incentive agreements must be fully executed by September 1, 2020 to qualify 2. Distribution project completion must be no later than March 15, 2021 3. Transmission incentive agreements must be fully executed by December 1, 2020 to qualify 4. Transmission project completion must be no later than March 15, 2022 |
Eligibility | 1. Consistent with regular incentive offers 2. Transmission: Only customers participating in an SEM program 3. Distribution: All customers eligible, regardless of SEM participation |
Our Custom Incentives are any incentives that aren't part of SIP (our Self-serve Incentive Program). We have two different funding models, depending on whether you're a Transmission customer (you have your own substation) or a Distribution customer (you use one of our substations).
Either way, we'll remove the 75% funding cap and fully fund up to 100% of the project, provided that it meets our cost-effectiveness tests. However, the maximum dollar value caps remain in place at $1m for Transmission customers and $500k for Distribution customers.
Self-Serve Incentive Program (SIP) promotion
Promotional offer | 1. Up to 25% bonus on top of original incentive funding offer, contingent on passing all BC Hydro cost tests 2. Note: Promotion go-live date is scheduled for May 14, but is dependent on IT implementation timelines. Please contact your KAM or Regional Energy Manager for confirmation |
Deadlines | 1. Incentive agreement must be fully executed by September 1, 2020 2. Project must be completed no later than March 15, 2021 |
Eligibility | 1. Consistent with regular offer – all customers are eligible, regardless of SEM participation |
Our popular SIP incentives are aimed at facilities using more than 500 megawatt-hours of electricity per year and want to upgrade compressed air systems and/or industrial lighting. We'll now add up to a 25% bonus on top of the incentive amount, and potentially fund up to 100% of the project. So with a $10k incentive, you'd now receive up to $12.5k, provided your completed project meets our cost-effectiveness tests. Not only that, but we'll also remove the one-year payback rule.
If you can identify the right kind of energy-efficient upgrades, these new promotions mean you could effectively get them completed for free. So if your business is a little slower during the current COVID-19 restrictions, why not take advantage of having a quieter facility and get in touch?
