2009 Annual Network Economy Meeting
Posted on April 6, 1:28 p.m.
Pursuant to BCUC Order No. G-127-06, Appendix 1, the BCUC directed BCTC to convene annual Network Economy Meetings no later than June 1, 2009 to discuss, on a "without prejudice" basis issues arising with respect to the use of Network Economy. A standing agenda item for these meetings will be to review the use of, and continued requirement for, a different Trigger Price (as defined in Section 1, Attachment Q) for the November to February period.
Since adopting the new business practice, BCTC has received no complaint or comment from customers with regard to the use of Network Economy. Last year, BCTC customers and parties of the Settlement Agreement did not feel a meeting was necessary and on May 27, 2008, BCTC requested permission from the Commission to not hold a 2008 Network Economy Meeting.
BCTC is soliciting customer input for agenda items for the 2009 annual Network Economy Meeting. The meeting is tentatively scheduled for May 25, 2009.
Potential topics for the meeting include:
- Trigger Price – the use of, and continued requirement for, a different Trigger Price for the November to February period;
- Continued requirement of the annual Network Economy Meeting;
- Issues identified by Customers and parties of the Settlement Agreement
Please advise Brenda.Ambrosi@bctc.com by April 22, 2009 of:
- Agenda items;
- Whether your organization will be participating in the Network Economy Meeting;
- Interest for an annual Network Economy Meeting. If there is no interest, BCTC will request the BCUC for the removal of this requirement. BCTC may file the customer responses that it receives with the BCUC.
Thank you for your time and consideration regarding this matter.
