Indigenous professionals in development
One-year paid work experience and training for graduates
We're looking for ambitious Indigenous university graduates to join our team in professional and management roles. Our Indigenous Professionals in Development (IPID) program offers post-secondary Indigenous graduates a one-year paid work and professional development placement with BC Hydro.
About the program
If you're accepted, you'll participate in two or more work rotations across our organization over the span of one year. You'll also receive training and coaching in leadership and professional development.
You can expect to:
- Receive one week of orientation, which includes an introduction to other program participants and our Indigenous employee network.
- Secure work rotations based on your interest, education, background and our business needs.
The experiences and support you receive will increase your knowledge of our organization and make you a more competitive candidate when applying for permanent roles at BC Hydro.
Our goal is for all participants to find full-time regular employment with us by the end of your final rotation, however a permanent role at the end of the program isn't guaranteed.
