Next up in the Alliance Industry Trend series is a session on power factor charges, set for Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Executive Plaza Hotel in Coquitlam.

Sessions prove popular, and members want more in-person workshops

After two sessions of the Alliance's new Alliance Industry Trend Series, there's been a lot of positive feedback from members. Through our post-event surveys, we've found these are the top things members have enjoyed:

  • Ability to network with other members
  • Hearing about new technologies
  • Hands-on explanations and ability to ask questions
  • Program updates from the Alliance team.

In January's session "What's new in lighting", BC Hydro engineer Cristian Suvagau talked about how the lighting market is transforming due to LED products, and discussed the newest technologies and latest trends in the lighting industry. View the presentation [PDF, 3.9 MB].

In February, BC Hydro's engineer Brian Friedman presented on "LEDs and safety", providing an overview of LED technology and an understanding of potential safety issues. View the presentation [PDF, 3.4 MB].
