Cancel service to your business and close your business account by submitting a request below. The following information is required to close your account:

  • Old service address
  • Forwarding address
  • Contact phone number

If you want to close multiple accounts at once for different service locations, use this form instead.

Note: We require a forwarding mailing address but if you have supported BC Hydro’s conservation efforts by going paperless, your final invoice will be sent to you by email.


In order to manage your BC Hydro account online, you will need to provide BC Hydro with some contact information (e.g. your name and your business email address, contact telephone number; details that may otherwise be located on a business card) along with the BC Hydro business account number. We consider the information associated with your business account to be non-personal information, regardless of business type (including limited companies, sole proprietorships and corporations).

BC Hydro offers these online facilities in furtherance of its mandate under the Hydro and Power Authority Act, the Clean Energy Act, and the BC Hydro Electric Tariff regulated by the BC Utilities Commission under the Utilities Commission Act.
