Safety Rodeo
The Safety Rodeo is an annual safety-themed event open to BC Hydro employees, their families and BC Hydro affiliates. It features demonstrations, competitions, games, activities, and information booths.
The highlight of the Rodeo is the Power Line Technician's (PLT) Competition, which showcases the expertise and skills of BC Hydro's line workers who compete with honour, excellence and safety in a variety of line events. The Safety Rodeo serves as a qualifying event for the International Lineman's Rodeo held in Kansas City each fall and the ENMAX Rodeo.

The 2025 Safety Rodeo will be hosted at the Nanaimo District Office on June 7. Register on this page to attend or become a competitor, volunteer, or exhibitor.

Registration deadlines:
- April 18 for competitors and exhibitors (limited spots available, registration is first come first served)
- April 25 for volunteers
- May 16 for attendees
