OASIS Outage – Concluded

Further to the bulletins posted on August 21 and 24, BC Hydro is pleased to announce that the OASIS outage has concluded. OASIS processing has resumed as normal.


OASIS Outage – August 28, 2012 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. PPT Work-Around

Further to the bulletin posted on August 21, BC Hydro is pleased to provide a work-around to Transmission Customers for the August 28 OASIS outage from 3:15 p.m. PPT to 4:45 p.m. PPT, which is as follows:

Pre-schedule

BC Hydro requires TSRs be faxed to it at 604 455 1925 on its Transmission Service Fax Request Form [PDF, 98 KB], but Transmission Customers must follow up with a telephone call to the pre-schedule office at 604 455 1926 at which time the transmission coordinator will confirm whether or not the TSR is approved. The pre-schedule office will only accept faxes on the last ATC posting on OASIS. Changes to ATC during the outage will not be provided by pre-schedule.

Real-time

BC Hydro requires TSRs be faxed to it at 604 455 1842 on its Transmission Service Fax Request Form [PDF, 98 KB], but Transmission Customers must follow up with a telephone call to the real-time office at 604 455 1705 at which time the interchange scheduler will confirm whether or not the TSR is approved. The real-time office will only accept faxes on the last ATC posting on OASIS. Changes to ATC during the outage will not be provided by real-time.

BC Hydro will advise Transmission Customers via bulletin if the OASIS outage concludes earlier than anticipated.


OASIS Outage – August 28, 2012 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. PPT

OATI has scheduled system maintenance to be performed on August 28, 2012, during the window of 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. PPT. As a result of the outage, OASIS will be unavailable for the entire duration of the outage. No TSRs can be created, modified or delivered to scheduling systems. Additionally, no OASIS postings will be available, such as Transmission Offerings, System Data or Messages. If a curtailment event is implemented during this outage, TSR Limits and the associated security post will not be delivered to OASIS; however, the eTag curtailment actions will be sent to webTag (ETS).

It is recommended that the submittal of TSRs for the outage period be done in advance of the outage period.

Attachment K Business Practice

In accordance with BCUC Order No. G-43-12, BC Hydro has developed business practices to support Attachment K of BC Hydro's OATT. A draft of the Attachment K business practice is available by clicking here. BC Hydro is requesting that feedback be provided to Derek Collins no later than August 31, 2012.


OATI WebTag(ETS) Outage – August 8, 2012 12:35 AM to 2:05 AM (PDT)

OATI has scheduled system maintenance to be performed on August 8, 2012, during the time window of 12:35 a.m. to 2:05 a.m. (PDT). As a result of the outage, no tags can be created and no actions on existing tags (adjustments, curtailments, etc) will be effective during the outage.

It is recommended that the submittal of e-Tags for the outage period be done in advance of the outage period.

BCUC Order G-77-12 Approves OATT Rates

Further to the bulletin entitled Direction No. 3 Sets OATT Rates for F2012, F2013, and F2014 posted on May 24 at 9:11 a.m., BCUC Order No. G-77-12 [PDF, 973 KB] approves the F2012 OATT rates, effective April 1, 2011, and the F2013 OATT rates, effective April 1, 2012, as set out in Schedule A to the Order and pursuant to Direction No. 3. In addition, F2014 OATT rates, effective April 1, 2013, as set out in Schedule A to the Order are approved, subject only to a BCUC Order respecting BC Hydro's F2014 expenditures on DSM.


Direction No.3 Sets OATT Rates for F2012, F2013, and F2014

On May 22, 2012, the Province of British Columbia issued Direction No.3 to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), which deals with BC Hydro's amended F2012 to F2014 Revenue Requirements Application. Among other things, the BCUC is ordered to set the OATT rates for F2012, F2013, and F2014 as shown in the Appendix to Direction No. 3. BC Hydro responded to Direction No.3 by letter to the BCUC [DOC, 3 MB] dated May 23, 2012, which includes Direction No.3 as one of the attachments.

Electric Industry Registry (EIR) – 2 Weeks Remaining for Registration

Further to the bulletin posted on March 15, OATI's webRegistry will begin its parallel operations phase with the TSIN Registry on May 14. Failure to register your entity in the webRegistry may result in your entity and/or source/sink not being included in the official industry registry. During the parallel operations phase, NAESB will compare registration in the webRegistry to the registration of the TSIN Registry in order to determine an acceptable cutover date. Your organization should ensure they are fully registered prior to the beginning of the parallel operations phase on May 14. To register, go to https://www.naesbwry.oati.com. Registration requires the use of your existing digital certificate.
