The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre is currently closed and will reopen May 17, 2025.

At the Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre, you'll learn about the history of the dam, enjoy fun and educational exhibits, and experience our First Nations Gallery.

When you arrive, you'll be in front of one of the most powerful dams in B.C. Whether you're on a guided or self-guided tour, you'll be able to take an elevator to the top of the dam for a breathtaking downstream view of the Columbia River Valley.

Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre is located on the traditional territory of the Sylix Okanagan, Secwepemc, Sinixt and Ktunaxa Nations.

The Visitor Centre

Season: Open May 17 through September 1, 2025.

Visitor Centre hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.

Operational hours are subject to change without notice.

  • Visitors must stop at a security checkpoint prior to arriving at our Visitor Centre.
  • Bags and purses of any kind are not permitted in the Visitor Centre. A limited number of free lockers are available for use.
  • Our Visitor Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
  • The Visitor Centre welcomes licensed service dogs only. All other animals are not permitted.
  • We have a wide selection of souvenirs, refreshments, and snacks available for purchase in our gift shop.
  • Free parking is available for cars, RVs and buses while visiting.
  • If you're exhibiting symptoms of illness, we ask that you visit another day. 

Tour information

The Visitor Centre is currently closed. Tours will resume May 17, 2025.

  • School field trips and community organizations of 10 or more people must pre-book their tours. Please submit a request through the appropriate link.
  • Drop-in visitors are welcome to guide themselves through the Visitor Centre.
  • Drop-in visitors can also join our scheduled guided tours – the current schedule is below. No reservations are required as it's first-come, first-served. 
  • Audio tour rentals are available in a variety of languages for those wanting to tour the facility at their own pace.

 

GUIDED TOUR SCHEDULE
10:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m.
2:30 p.m.  

No reservations required. Guests must arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour times. Limited spots available and are on a first come, first served basis.

This is our regular schedule but as we're a working dam and powerhouse, unforeseen issues may arise that require us to cancel tours.

Admission prices include all applicable taxes.
