The new CEO of the world's largest community-based credit union was born in Victoria and raised in Kamloops. … After graduating
from the University of Victoria, she quickly climbed the provincial public-service ladder, becoming a deputy minister in two
portfolios, health and finance, before she was 35. Not surprisingly, she was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee medal for
outstanding public service… She and her husband are raising a pre-school-age son, which doesn't leave her much time anymore
for her unusual hobby: playing upright bass in a marching band… One of her childhood fantasies was to conduct a symphony orchestra,
and don't bet against her accomplishing that someday.
