Bio

A former North American Soccer League star, Canadian international and national men's team coach, Lenarduzzi began his professional playing career at age 15 as a youth with Reading F.C. in England and went on to play 67 first-team games with the club… After winning the NASL championship with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 1979, the hometown boy left Vancouver to play two years with the Major League of Soccer's Tacoma Stars for two seasons… Back in Vancouver, Lenarduzzi joined the Vancouver 86ers to become executive director of the club, returning to the field a year later as player - retiring permanently from playing in September 1988 - and as a coach of four consecutive Canadian Soccer League champions from 1988 to 1991… Lenarduzzi was voted one of the Top 30 Players of the Century in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) region.

“It's great that BC Hydro is championing this initiative, because they make more money if we use more power. So in spite of that, it's great they are figuring ways to conserve energy for the consumer and the environment as well.”
