How to enter the contest

Entrants must purchase ENERGY STAR labelled windows between October 1, 2008 and October 31, 2008 and fill out the entry form. You are also required to write a story on your experience with choosing or switching to ENERGY STAR labelled windows in order to qualify.

Entries must be submitted online, via the entry form, by November 15, 2008. Entries will be judged by a panel of window manufacturers in order to determine a winner

How to identify ENERGY STAR labelled windows

ENERGY STAR is an international symbol that identifies manufacturers' products as the most energy-efficient in their category. It is a simple way to quickly identify the most energy-efficient product when evaluating your purchase decision.

You can identify ENERGY STAR labelled windows in three ways:

1. Ask your local window contractor or salesperson for ENERGY STAR labelled windows.
2. Go to Natural Resources Canada's website to find model numbers of all ENERGY STAR labelled windows qualified under the Canadian criteria.
3. Look for the ENERGY STAR label. Most ENERGY STAR qualified windows are visibly labelled with the ENERGY STAR label such as the one below.
