Never pay PST, and until May 31, don't pay GST
ENERGY STAR® labelled windows are always exempt from Provincial Sales Tax. But with our new BC Hydro Power Smart offer you can also save the GST when you purchase windows from a participating manufacturer between April 1 and May 31, 2008. Note that this no GST offer is a Power Smart exclusive limited to the list of participating manufacturers.

Purchase ENERGY STAR labelled windows between April 1 and May 31, 2008 from a participating manufacturer and you can enter to win up to $5,000 towards your windows purchase.
Entries must be submitted using our online entry form. To qualify, you are also required to write a story on your experience of choosing or switching to ENERGY STAR labelled windows. Entries must be received by June 13, 2008

How to Identify ENERGY STAR Labelled Windows
ENERGY STAR is an international symbol that identifies manufacturers' products as the most energy-efficient in their category. It is a simple way to quickly identify the most energy-efficient product when evaluating your purchase decision.
You can identify ENERGY STAR labelled windows in three ways:
- Ask your local window contractor or salesperson for ENERGY STAR labelled windows.
- Go to Natural Resources Canada's website to find model numbers of all ENERGY STAR labelled windows qualified under the Canadian criteria.
- Look for the ENERGY STAR label. Most ENERGY STAR qualified windows are visibly labelled with the ENERGY STAR label such as the one below.
How to Choose the Right ENERGY STAR Labelled Window
British Columbia is divided into three climate zones and ENERGY STAR labelled windows are designed for the region you live
in. Use the map on the right to determine which ENERGY STAR labelled window is right for your home.
The fine print:
- The term of this program offering is to be determined by BC Hydro and may be modified or terminated without prior notice.
- The rebate amount could be modified or terminated at any time, subject to available funding.
- The ENERGY STAR labelled windows must be qualified under the Canadian criteria and the model numbers must be listed on Natural Resources Canada's website at the time of purchase.
- BC Hydro and the City of New Westminster Electrical Utility customers are eligible for this program.
