Get outage reports on your mobile device

BC Hydro customers are now able to view outage information from their web-enabled wireless mobile device.

Use your cell phone, Blackberry or personal digital assistant (PDA) to access our searchable outage reports.

Steps to get outage information

  1. Access bchydro.com/mobile through your mobile browser
  2. Select 'Outage Status'
  3. Search by region, municipality or postal code

Please note that in the "area" view, five areas per screen page will be shown. Any additional outage areas will be listed on the next page.

Please note that when selecting an outage within a selected area, only one outage will be listed. View each page or select to view details of a specific outage, going to the next page to view any additional outage locations.

Outage details will include:

  • Time of outage
  • Estimated restoration time
  • Number of customers affected
  • Outage type/cause
  • Last updated time
