Lois Nahirney
Chief Human Resources Officer
Lois joined BC Hydro in September 2007 as Acting Chief Human Resources Officer. Lois brings over 20 years global experience as a senior executive and consultant in human resources, strategy, organization change, and information systems.
Lois has held a number of executive roles, including Partner, Western Management Consultants; Vice President, Worldwide Professional Services for Crystal Decisions (now Business Objects); Vice President, Operations for ACL Services Ltd.; and Director, Organization Development and Chief Information Officer with Fletcher Challenge Canada (now Catalyst Paper).
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Political Science (UBC), an MBA (Ivey School of Business, UWO) and is pending completion of her Doctorate of Business Administration in International Management (Asia Pacific International University). Lois is active in the community with several organizations including the Vancouver Women’s Executive Network, Junior Achievement BC, Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women Awards, and the Vietnam Education Society.
